annoying dialog box when windows starts

Everytime when i start windows an annoying dialog pops up after logon. Application
xxx installation is broken do you want to fix it?

Yes: it tries to start a non existent msi installer.
No: nothing happens

Registry cleaners didn't help.
Manual removing of all program xxx entries from registry didn't help either. (maybe
there are still something that I can't find?)
Autorun values in registry doesn't have anything.
No spyware or viruses.
Windows installer clean up didn't help.

Any ideas how to get rid of this? And thanks in advance!

Could be the offending program has an entry in your msconfig startup, type msconfig in the start/run box and select the startup tab and see if anything looks like it might be the problem and if so, uncheck it and reboot.

"....it tries to start a non existent msi installer."
Try searching the reg for that installer?
Looked in the Startup folder?
If you're sure your system is clean of all "malware," it has to be somewhere.
Try all variants of the name of the program, and of its developer/vendor, and of
any names in the message(s) you get.
