Do you have the .Net framwork installed on this computer? Have you recently disabled windows messenger service? What version of Adobe do you have? Waht firewall are you running?

ok, your first problem you need do deal with is no firewall. if you don't have a firewall and you are on the net, you are going to get a virus, trojan, or what have you. you can dl a free personal firewall from zonealarm.com, or do a search for sygate personal firewall, or kerio personal firewall. zone alarm is easiest to use. second, in order to help you with these problems, i need more info: when do you get these errors? with the .net one, did you get it before or after you installed it, and what do you mean when you say you disabled it somewhere else? the ATM helper could be one of two things: a missing adobe reader file, or a network protocol which you shouldn't need and can be checked by clicking properties of you internet connection and looking at what protocols you have enabled. if you can, post back with answers. :)

Rebecca, AOHell does not have a firewall and it is just my opinion, but you would
be better off in the long run by dropping AOHell and running a cheaper, less obtrusive
isp software such as netzero or others.
Second, the xp firewall is good at keeping things out, but no good at letting whatever
may be lurking in your computer already out to the net so if you use the xp firewall,
make sure your system is clean first.
third:
windows update is asking you to run .net because you still have it in services, don't
worry about it unless windows update refuses to let you install any updates.
The atm error:
if you are on dial up you don't really need it. IF Atm protocol shows in connection
properties you can uninstall it. If for some reason you get other errors after uninstalling
that protocol, you can always reinstall it.
