Bridge.dll

I recently had problems relating to spyware and trojan horses, and i managed to remove all aspects, except for an error message: error loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\bridge.dll I learned this is where what is left of the spyware is trying to load the file but is failing, and have disabled this in the startup options. The trojan horses were as follows: PSW.Briss.D, Downloader.small.6.1, Downloader.small.5.BH, PSW.Briss.A Some returned for a second time, but were removed again. My problem is this: my computer now tends to run slower than before and tends to stop responding after a certain amount of time. Is this because of the above? I can give u my hijack log if this is necessary? Although i have disabled the start up of the spyware, can i remove it from the list/ computer? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Open Notepad...

paste this:
Code:
REGEDIT5

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"RunDLL"=-into your notepad. Choose 'save as' under 'file' in notepad.

a window will pop up

Now name the file bridge.reg and choose 'save as type' = 'all files' (second drop
down menu on pop up just underneat file name). Encoding (third drop down menu) should
be left at 'ANSI.' Save the file to your desktop.

Now you should be able to close out notepad. Double click the file you created and
when it asks if you want to add the value to your registry hit, agree that you do.
Reboot and see if it pops up again...

Tried ur approach, found following problems: 1) did not have the 3rd drop down menu 2) got error message when pressing agree: cannot import (file name). the specified fiel is not a registry script. you can only import binary registry files bla bla. i guess this is cos i couldnt change the encoding? UPDATE: i have come to the conclusion that the taskbar would freeze when the kazaa application was open. have now uninstalled kazaa, and had no further problems there
