href="http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article07-200">Top reasons for random,
fatal crashes in Windows XP and Windows 2000: I have a question about windows
xp. Won't start up, getting message, WE'RE SORRY FOR THE INCONVIENCE but windows
did not shut down properly.
Have tried all the restart options. is there a command I can enter in the safe mode
with command prompt to get XP to start, or any keystrokes to get windows to load.

put your win xp CD in and start your computer and go into bios by pressing "del"
at startup. Set your computer to boot from the CD and you can see if it helps or
reinstall WinXP from there,,,,,hope it helps

conflicts, bad drivers, too many programs running, spyware, trojans, malware, adware,
worms, viruses, trying to shut down while something is still running. and a host
of other reasons.
