Open "regedit" then on the toolbar click Help>help topics....
On the left side of the window that appears, expand "registry editor" by double clicking it, then expand "How to.."
Click "Import or Export registry keys"
Then on the right side click "Export all or part of the registry to a text file"......should tell you what you need to know...

Don't rely on System Restore. Use the export option in regedit. Or get GoBack for complete recovery when you need it.

1. Command Prompt: type in regedit 2. When the registry opens - Click on 'File Export' 3. When prompted pick a folder ( I made a folder called 'REGISTRY SAVES' 4. Put in the file name ( i name mine for the date I exported it, ie., 080304 and it will put in the .reg extender. 5. To restore a registry, just go to your folder and double click the registry you saved and it will overwrite the corrupted registry. Lee
