Question about 'Help! My application doesn't work with or crashes Windows'

I have a question about Help!
My application doesn't work with or crashes Windows: "The instruction at "0x00000000"
the referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory cannot be "read".
Click OK to terminate."
Hi.
That happens everytime I try to use something related to using the internet. At
the top it will say aim.exe or cstrike.exe or firefox.exe or iexplore.exe. Everything
is plugged in. The cable modem is working fine and the router is fine. If you need
more info, ask. But I am in need of help. (BTW I'm not on the messed up PC)

Start by checking your Ram modules..MemTest86 is a good start..find it in google
and load it to Floppy..run from there...

The most important piece of info you can give is when this problem started - did
it start after you did something specific on your computer?
This looks like a software issue to me, but it wouldn't hurt to test your memory.
In addition to doing that, I'd start your troubleshooting by scanning for viruses/adware/spyware.
I'd also suggest reinstalling one of the affected programs and see if that helps.

I was getting this same error with Everquest 2 and Windows Media Player. I uninstalled
Netlimiter and the problem was fixed. This link gave me the idea:

I get this message every time i try to close a programm. Doesnt matter what kind

Hi,
I also got this error. I reinstall the application (McAfee Virus Scan) but I
still get this error with slight differences in memory address.
The MS website said this is due to >64 file types in Folder Options and their
update will fix the problem. However, I still get this error after installing the
update.
Anyone got a better idea ???
