Hallo, I have had a crash on my xp pro pc and heard that there was a way to recover the installation, using a batch file on a floppy disk. can someone please point me to the link as I am unable to find it on a search. Thanks John

why not use the xp cd to repair the installation?

I would if I knew what to do......I had the dos screen come up and just ran chkdsk....
