I have a question about How do I turn off the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer as my default image viewer?:

My faxes open up in photoshop, but I want them to open in windows pic and fax viewer by default - how do I ensure this happens every time?

This problem requires a registry change to correct. Here are several fixes: Solution #1: * Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE). * Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ SystemFileAssociations\ image\ ShellEx\ ContextMenuHandlers. * Delete the ShellImagePreview key. * Close the Registry Editor when you're done; the change will take effect immediately. Solution #2: * Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE). * Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ CLSID\ {e84fda7c-1d6a-45f6-b725-cb260c236066}\ shellex. * Delete the MayChangeDefaultMenu key. * Close the Registry Editor when you're done; the change will take effect immediately.

Yes - .tif file - which opened in fax viewer BEFORE my son installed Adobe Photoshop CS! All my .jpg files do still open in picture/fax viewer. Can Adobe be turned off as the fax default. BTW thank you for your help.
