recovery disk

Is it possible to make a recovery disk for XP
such as the one that can be made for ME or 98.
I just got a Dell and I wanted to redo HD and have
2 partitions and 2 OS. A recovery disk for the original setup would be ideal if I
wanted to go back to the way
it was. I do not know a lot about XP yet....

A thought that I just got -
Would an external HD work.
Copy the entire drive that XP is on and
if needed, at a later time - using 98 -
copy the XP drive back to another
partition or HD ????

Check the documentation and install CD set, the OS CD is there somewhere
IME dell install CDs are basically just full micro$oft CDs
without the hologram face
So it shouldn’t be a problem
