If I were you, I'd use a tool called WinRAR. It works with a number of compressed file formats, including ZIP. All you have to do with .EXE files is right-click on the file, click "Open with WinRAR". Once it opens, extract the files you want, then junk the rest. If you are a good hacker you can rewrite the source code and do what you will but it does take some expertise. I am not smart enough to do that but there are some real brains that do nothing but hack programs.
