Hi all. When i try to open microsoft word document files from a diskette i was prompt 
the error message "data error cyclic redundancy check". I would like to know if there 
is any software that i can use to recover the files from the diskette. Thanks in 
advance

Try this re: stroppy floppy
I'm not sure if it will work with a CRC error but it is worth a try

do action : from Command prompt start : Run : cmd enter a:\copy name_file c:\name_file
