Advice for running abandonware DOS games under XP

If you're trying to run a really old DOS game under XP, there is a simple solution:
dosbox.sourceforge.net
This is an open source project that is distributed free of charge, and has no spyware.
It runs DOS in an emulated window, and has nice features for emulating hardware
such as old displays, soundcards, mouse drivers, etc. You can download it by following
the above link, clicking the Download menu, and then clicking the Windows install.
See the website for more info.
This tool is great for running games like the early Ultimas, Goblins, Out of this
World, etc.

Methinks the poster intended to say:
dosbox.sourceforge.net/
That URL at least works, but I've no idea how the
software works since I have not tried it. But if it does
not work, since it is
open source anybody who wants
can try to fix it...

Actually, the URL is good, but you can't click on the link from here, this site somehow
blocks you from leaving. If you type it into the address bar yourself, you'll get
there. I'm trying to download the program now.

No, the site does not block you from leaving. The poster simply forgot the vital
"http://" on the front of the link.
