Hi there, I am selling my computer and I would like to know how can I delete everything in my computer. Windows Xp. I want the computer to be empty. Thanks

Google for a prgram called autoclave. It is a linux based utility that will clean everything off. Or, if you know what make your hard drive is, the manufacturer usually has a diagnostic disk that also has disk wiping capability.

Put your drive into another machine as slave and format it voila blank drive

However, with the right software, the information can be retrieved. I know, I know it is a long shot, but better safe than sorry. The tool I mentioned overwrites the entire disk including the bootsector up to 10 times. Formatting the drive simply erases the pointers to the files.

My computer is full of spyware...so if I clean everything off, would it be possible to just reinstall my windows xp and other programe from my CD.
