I've gotten several BSODs over the past week. It happens most of the time when I'm
playing games (Sims2 or Rome:total war).
I've gotten different error messages out of it (PFN_LIST_CORRUPTED, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
ang7core.sys).
Aside from getting BSOD, I get a lot of other errors that show up and closes my apps.
Sometimes my pc starts to freeze. here some samples of errors
Faulting application rometw.exe, version 1.0.0.0, faulting module rometw.exe, version
1.0.0.0, fault address 0x0022422c.
Hanging application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, hang module hungapp, version
0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

Hanging application mmc.exe, version 5.1.2600.2180, hang module hungapp, version

A critical system process, C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe, failed with status code

Faulting application services.exe, version 5.1.2600.2180, faulting module rpcrt4.dll,
version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x0000adec.
Faulting application svchost.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module unknown, version
0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000000.
The COM+ Event System attempted to fire the EventObjectChange::ChangedSubscription
event but received a bad return code. HRESULT was 80040201.
My specs are:
Celeron 1.8Ghz
256 DDRAM
80GB Maxtor HD
GeForce4 MX440 64MB
on-board sound
lite-on CD-writer
Can someone please help? This is getting frustrating already. I don't know what to
do anymore.

I have gotten similar errors as well, almost exactly the same symptoms. Usually while
running a game, DOAC . To fix this error I have tried installing all new drivers,
erasing all old drivers/folders( especially Nvidia!), and have installed the latest
MS drivers for Xp.
Each of those steps made improvements on the situation, also for some strange reason
Windows had reset my Pagefile size, to low amount (possibly after new ms updates?)
So resetting this to 1.5* the size of your ram helps make your system more stable.
I also had windows rebuild my pagefile.sys...
One of these or all of these seemed to fix my problems with BSOD for non paged faults,
nvp.display fault, etc..
As always defragging and regristry cleaning are a must for anyone that uses their
system to run video games.
Now my system hangs// locks up which I think is an entirely another problem related
to either overheating, my cpu is running hot..!
or perhaps bad ram/mobo...=(
Hopefully reinstalling drivers/removing old drivers and folders will fix those bsods...
