(1) Right-click on your desktop.
(2) Point to "New". Then select "Folder" to create a new folder.
(3) Name the new folder
"Recycle Bin.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}".

worked fine, thanks. But not completly.
fixed my original Recycle Bin connection and works now again :-)
The new "folder" looks alike the original Recycle Bin, but is a mixture of the Bin
and a normal folder(Renaming, sharing,...)
Does not show "full" (bin icon does not change), only empty.
Does no more use \Recycled.
Where is C:\recycled gone now?

Had the same problem. Really easy to fix:
Right click on desktop and go to Personalize. Then select Change desktop icons, and
then just checkmark the Recycle bin box. Apply, and your done!
