How to remove custom shortcuts

In the properties of windows shortcuts it is possible to define keyboard shortcuts
for porgrams.
On my computer, there is a keyboard shortcut, but no shortcut icon anymore (I probably
deleted it). How do I get rid of that shortcut?

I had the same problem and the only way I got it resolved was by deleting the destination
file (what the no longer existing shortcut points to) and execute the custom key
combination. WindowsXP begins to search for the file and lets you browse for it too.
At this point I hit cancel and do the key combination again. After 3 attempts, Windows
tells you the file no longer exists and asks if you want to delete the shortcut.
It worked for me.
If you want to reuse the same key combination for something else, you will need to
reboot before Windows lets you set it for another shortcut.

I wish I had found this entry before posting my last follow up. The reboot took care
of the problem. I did find a nice freeware utility on Download.com. Here's some info:
Shortcuts Map 2.3 for Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/Server 2003
Copyright (c) 1999-2004 Hai Li, Zeal SoftStudio.

This lists all shortcuts on the desktop, and in the start
menu and links to edit the properties. Nice. Thanks for
the tip. (About rebooting).
