I copied a file from another computer to disk, when I try to open it I get a message
windows can't open .mdb file. Any ideas how to open this file?

A couple things. What version Access do you have? What version is the copy? Is it
still on CD? It will try to open but will be read only.

Besides a version problem, the file copy could be corrupted.

And if that doesn't do it, perhaps Access is not installed on the second machine
you wish to open it on?

I have no idea, I just got this new computer & am trying to move a file from the
old one.
