I just replaced my motherboard on a PAVILION 522 and everything went OK untill I
try to paly a DVD. I get the following error.
""Playback failed due to a problem with the video subsystem""
What this means? The PC detect the DVD and the DVD writer but I can play a movie
on eighter one of them. I have lowered the resolution of the monitor to 800 X 600,
16 bit, Hardware accelaeration is set tu full. But nothing. Ikeep gettting the same
problem.
I'm able to play music or Mp3 but not a DVD
I have a Pavilion with:
2.8 Preocessor
5112 RAM
Win XP

Can someone help me?

Alfred...that's alot of ram (j/k, typo, I know). I would first check my video card for drivers etc. and the mobo for patches in regards to video as that seems to be the origin of the problem as well as compatibility...becuase of the phenominal possibilities of combinations, perhaps you happen to have the one video card out of 1000 that just don't work so well with your new mobo? md
