Question about 'How do I skip the Product Activation in Windows XP?'

Every time I boot my PC I am told to activate XP before I can use it. After I have successfully activated and registered my copy my PC completes the reboot. If I ever shut down XP and I reboot again I am asked to go through the whole process again and so on and so on.

im not completely sure if this will work but Try giving this a shot. go to Start>run type "msconfig". it should bring up a window that has a bunch of tabs at the top, so click on "startup". See if the registration is listed, and if it is, uncheck the box next to it. If there are any other programs that you find annoying on startup in that list, just uncheck those too (i.e AIM/msn messengser/yahoo messenger). good luck
