As that Article instructs, you would be better off contacting the developer of the
application or posting your problem in a help forum at its website.

I am experiencing the identical error message but it (appears) that my problem has
to do with the sound. My computer cannot produce any sound. The sound might simply
be coincidental. I will try a reinstall from the original CD. It seems that that
'usually' solves the problem.
? # 1 are you certain as to what is failing to initialize?
?# 2 are you reinstalling your OS(windows operating system)system or for a specific
application?
