I recently reformatted my hard drive, and when i went to restart the computer after the reformat was done, it loaded but had no task bar *the one with the start menu and what not* well I finally got it to appear after much messing around with it.. but now I can't get it to let my screen size out of 800 x 600. I can set it on whatever number of resolution i want, but the screen size stays the same. I need help!

It's not clear what you did. If you re-installed XP, then you probably need to install
the appropriate driver for your video hardware. It may be on a CD that came with
the video card, or with the motherboard if it's built in, or with the computer.

Otherwise go to the video (or motherboard if built-in) manufacturer's site and look
for "support" or "downloads" etc.
