Hardward Malcunction Blue Screen Error

Let me start with the "machine"
ABIT V7 motherboard (on board sound card)
Pentium 4 (3.0ghz)
1.00 GB Ram
NVidia GeForce 6600GT
Maxtor 6Y120PO HD
500 watt power supply
Emprex IDE 5232 CD-RW
Lite-On DVD ROM SOHD-167T

.......machine infrequently crashed and displayed "Hardware Malfunction, call your
hardware vendor for support, the system has halted." Called every hardware mfg. I
could identify and they all said to call MS, yeah right!!
Of course MS said to call the hardware vendors, so some more phone calls to
all the "vendors" and to my surprise most were pretty cooperative.
I have replaced EVERY component listed above over the last month, and after
about a week of usage, guess what?? Blue screen returns. I am at my wits end, and
have no idea who to call or what to do at this point. Has anyone ever experienced
this, or have a suggested "next step"??? (boat anchor not an option)

Thanks in advance!!!
-Mike-

Do this....

http://theeldergeek.com/bare_bones_troubleshooting_installation.htm

I know it says for OS issues, but it's also good for hardware troubleshooting also.

Here is an article on how to use Safe Mode to solve hardware and driver problems.
