removal of tray icons

I have icons on the right lower tray that I would like to remove. I've tried using
selective startup, but it keeps returning to the original setup. I have icons on
the start up page, so I don't need the tray icons. ................THANK YOU

Check your Start Up Folder under All Programs from the Start menu. Right click on
the item that you don't want to start and hit delete. These are just shortcuts so
you can always put them back if needed. Any other items in the tray can be disabled
by going into the Programs settings or preferences and unselecting load at startup,
add tray icon etc. depending on the program. Good luck with that!!

Right click on a blank part of your Taskbar and click on Properties. On the Taskbar
tab check the "Hide inactive icons" check box. Click on the customize button.
Click on the item you want to hide and select "always hide" in the Behaviors column.
