ActiveX Information Bar

Hopefully somebody has seen this. I opened IE and noticed that all of the activeX
information had place markers instead of the active program. I went to MS Windows
Update and it told me to click on the information bar to install the activeX controls.
The problem is there is no information bar. My security settings in IE have all the
activeX settings on Enable or Prompt. I still get the information bar for popups
but not for any activeX installs. I checked my IE files folder and there are no corrupt
activeX controls in there either. Any ideas? Thanks

Look in C:\WINNT\Downloaded Program Files. See if there is an ActiveX entry in here
with "damaged" status.
If so, delete it. See if the information bar opens below the address bar now when
you go to the same website. If so, right click the bar and install.

Nope. There aren't any damaged activeX files in there. Thanks for the suggestion.
