Sonic DLA scaning my cd and dvd drives from the background

Hi, for some reason Sonic DLA scans my drives without me wanting it to do so. Is there a way to stop this? It is really annoying at startup. I have a DEll 4600 Dimension, also I've checked msconfig and it's clean. ex: I have a game-dvd in the tray when i boot the comp, Sonic DLA poudly pops-up an alertnotice that the disk can be explored but not played. (now I can play the game, but not in the dvdplayerprogram that somehow seem linked to Sonic DLA.)

This utility comes preinstalled in many systems like Dell and HP, and To disable:
right-click on the CD Drive in My Computer. Find the DLA ÒEnable or DisableÓ feature.
I prefer to just Uninstall the DLA utility.

I've removed Sonic DLA from my computer, but now I've lost all CD/DVD writing capabilities. How can I restore the "send to" CD drive and drag-and-drop functionality inherent to Windows XP?

I'm not sure, I don't use those features myself. I do use Nero burning software but not the MS send to CD.
