I have a question about Enabling or Disabling Automatic Windows Update:

Wouldn't it be nice to disable auto update altogerther? Does anyone else hate the little red shield as much as i? iF i'm updating it manually, why does it eat RAM all the time by sitting there running. Where is it called from? Chuck

So disable it via the instructions in that article, then stop and disable the service from services.msc.
