Try to access those JPEGs from the XP machine with the problem, and see if they go slowly. If it is a wired network, try swapping the cables around and see if you get any changes. Try running the XP machine with problems in "Safe Mode with Networking" and see if it acts any different. These troubleshooting steps will test for any problems physically (wires) and any interference of software (Anti-virus scanning the files coming in). I do not really want the jpegs on the other xp system. The files load quickley it just when I go to view thumbnails the pictures take a very long time to load. I meant to copy the files to the other XP System just to troubleshoot. This way we can make sure its just related to the one system having the problems. Is the actual transfer of files taking a long time, or just the loading of thumbnails once they are transferred? When I open the folder it opens quickley and the files show up fast but when I try to preview them they are very slow opening.
