I was trying to defrag my harddrive and i keep getting this message that chk dsk is scheduled to run and it wont let me defragment. What does this mean? Thankyou

In a nutshell it means chksdk (check disk) has been scheduled to run and needs to be run before defrag will run. Once you see that message, reboot your PC and chkdsk should run immediately upon reboot. Once it's finished, run defrag.

Thankyou for your reply. I tried this and it didnt make any difference. I rebooted and when it started back up i dont think anything happened and when i tried to defrag i just get the same message. If this is scheduled to run is their any way i can disable it. Thankyou.
