Everytime i run Spybot (1.4), It scans and Comes up with ABetterInternet found.
Which includes files like: AbetterInternet.Aurora:dkt2.tmp (dkt3/4/5/6/7)
Located in C:\Documents and Settings\Michael\Local Settings\Temp\(dkt2.tmp)
How do i fully get Rid of ABetterItnernet service??

Ive never had this come up till after i reinstalled WinXp few weeks ago.

Thank You.

Spybot is not the best choice for removing spyware. Try SpySweeper from webroot.com.
They have a free trial version but you have to get the updates.

Microsoft.com has a free Antispyware Beta.

When you scan for spyware you should scan in safe mode if your software will run
in this mode.

Also, clean out all your temp files, cookies, temporary Internet files, etc. MS Antispyware
Beta has a tracks eraser module that lets you do this with the clck of a button.

Thanx Dude.

Tho Personally, I dislike M$ Software, Ive had MS AntiSpyware Beta, and really didnt
like it.
I dont Mind Spybot. Ive got Spysweeper 2.6 and updated tho dont use it.

I guess i should keep away from the Sites that Supply Adware/Spyware.
(As addictive as they are)

Microsoft is known for buggy programs, but somehow they managed to create one of,
if not the best antispyware program available.

Maybe because they know where all the holes are that let the spyware in!!!

No, because they took over the best company in the market at the time (GIANT Antispyware). Unfortunately, they also turned it around, and thus are beginning to make it worse.

If you don't make out with the other suggestions....

Lets see what's on the system.

Can you please post a HiJackThis scan of your system. Download HJT into its own
folder, double click on the HJT.exe, scan and save log, note or word pad will open
and the log will be saved. Copy and paste that log into your reply.

Please make sure you check the "preserve spacing button" on
the bottom of the posting page.
Download HJT.exe

I use both the Webroot Software and MS's (Giant) Anti-Spyware software. I keep MS's on a CD and even computers that are helplessly infected turn around after running both programs. For once, MS has done the right thing but I am in the minority. I think XP Pro is one of the best OS's yet. (At least better then those that came before) Usually it's the info inputed that screws the OS up, not the software iteself. It is up to each and every one of us to run AV, Anti-Spyware and firewalls and to practice safe computing. Okay jumping down from my soapbox. Keep up the great work Falcon. You help a lot of people.
