Windows XP activation problem

I have a legal version of windows XP with my original serial number. However after
many formats and reactivations M$ no longer lets me activate it (even over the phone)
so I decided to use activation cracks to make it work.

The problem is now when I start up my computer it tells me that I have x number of
days to activate and it says its already activated when I tell it to activate.

I had this problem about 30 days ago and eventually decided to format it because
it starts logging me out.

I have 2 days left on my activation and I have tried everything I could find on this
site and others with no sucess so any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

XP INFO  XP CLEANUP

This time tell MS that you are going to install it and then make a drive image so that you don't have to reactivate every time. Do you have any old drive images?

Mac YOU ARE HUMAN BEINGS IF THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT TO BE (NOAH NOEL NOTHING)

heh I wish... that would be the smart thing to do >.>

if I DO end up formatting that might be what I have to do though... however I am
really hoping to get this set up back in working order... no one likes to format
<.<

by the way... are we allowed to talk about activation cracks on here? I don't want
to break any rules or step on any toes

What version of XP do you have, OEM or retail?

What explanation do you get from MS regarding their refusal to activate?
