Question about 'Clear Unwanted Entries from Add/Remove Programs'

I have a question about Clear Unwanted Entries from Add/Remove Programs:

Actually this is the opposite of the article...hope that's ok. I received a new laptop from "Santa" for Christmas and love it so far except I have installed very many programs and when I go to "add/remove programs" there's only three things there none of which I what to remove. Even the stuff that was pre-installed from the factory weren't there...Is there some way to populate the list? Thanks, Lynn

Do you have more than one hard drive, or a partition? sometimes i notice if i install to my secondary partition or hard drive it doesnt show up in add/remove. try downloading an uninstaller.

No, there is not a way to populate the list. Look for an unistall file in the application
folder. There probably isn't one there. Computer manufacturers load all that bloatware
garbage on your computer to make you feel like you're getting all sorts of extras
when in reality they are essentially stuffing your system full of advertisements
for software vendors.

No I have no other drives or partitions. Norton used to have an uninstall, but I just purchased the latest Norton system works & it's no longer there nor is it on their site other than references to old versions. Is there an uninstaller you trust?

I understand that (the bloat) I've been doing this for around 15 years but haven't gotten completely acclimated to it yet. I guess I'll look into an uninstaller though I'm not sure what since Norton doesn't have one any more...Thanks for your help!!

I use a few but try Advanced Uninstaller 2004 it gives you a few other options as well.

Thanks for your help! I've been looking at several others but will also check that out to evaluate. Wish Norton still offered one. Thanks, Lynn
