I have a networked computer, which acts as a server for 2 tills, and had a printer installed on it. We recently moved the computer to another room, and now the printer doesnt appear in printers and faxes, it only shows up in programs which display system information. When I click print in any program like word, internet explorer I get the different errors about an error occuring with this operation, no error code. However, I have a labeling program which prints without you having to set settings, or lookin at a print preview and this works although the printer is not in printers and faxes. Is this a problem to do with the API which generates the print forms etc. Please help thankyou, Daniel

Joe's List / System cleanup
Parallel or USB attached? Whichever, try a different cable. Delete the printer, shutdown and reboot then Add a new printer, see if that helps.
Repair install / Clean install

Sorry, USB connection. Have tried different leads and another printer with no joy. The only way I can uninstall the printers is by opening the printers and faxes window (the printers dont appear) then right clicking and selecting server properties and using that to uninstall the printer drivers. The built in scanner and memory cards on the printer appear on the computer and work properly, and as I mentioned they all worked perfectly before moving it and using some computer cleaning programs to speed the computer up. Thankyou
