My computer freezes/locks up completely after....

I try to shut it down through "Start/Turn off computer"
This happens almost everytime. Also, for example, if I run a program like Azureus
or something, and shut THAT down, it also freezes, and it doesn't just happen with
those occurances, sometimes anything can cause it.
Here's what I did find out though, my computer said that I have a "Bad Device Driver"
the problem is, I don't know how to find that "bad driver" to take care of the problem.
What can be done to solve this problem? Is there anything?
Thank you.

Download and run Aida32.
Look through each item and locate the one that is reported as a fault. The program
provides link to update the driver.

I'm sorry for sounding like a dumbass, but I downloaded this program, but where do
I go once it's launched? There are so many various options, also... I can only obtain
the iinformation on what bad device drive it is after my computer 'crashes'. See,
sometimes it freezes, and sometimes it crashes, but crashing only occurs once in
a while. Sometimes the screen would go all BLUE and then it would restart, or I would
have to hit the restart button, and once its restarted a message pops up, and takes
me to Microsoft site telling me whats the problem, etc..

Joe's List / System cleanup
When you get the blue screen, what "exactly" is the displayed error message. Record
all of it and post here.
Does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
As for determining what device driver is bad, start by removing everything from your
system except memory, video, mouse and keyboard. Does the problem occur with just
those connected? If not, then start connecting stuff up one at a time until you find
the one that is causing the crash.
If you still get the error with the minimal hardware above then it is either the
Video, Memory, CPU or System Board.
Repair install /
Clean install

By removing everything what do you mean by that? disassembling the computer? I'm
fairly newbie. I haven't tried safe mode. How can I stop the blue screen from disappearing,
because it only stays there on for either a minute or 30 seconds, I won't be able
to record in such a short period of time, I know there's a way to manually make the
blue screen just sit there the next time comp crashes, but forgot how.

When the blue screen appears press Pause (top right hand corner of keyboard). Then
you will be able to record what the error is.
As far as Aida32 is concerned, if you do not know where you downloaded it, then do
a file search. Click Start, Search, For Files or Folders, type in aida32. When it
finds it just double click on it, it will reveal Aida32.exe. Double click on it and
it will search and reveal all the information about your computer.
On the left hand side, click the +sign and it will expand all the information on
the right hand side. Look at it carefully and see if it reports a problem.
Repeat for each +sign. Somewhere, during the examination, you should find a problem.
It will report it even without the blue sccreen.
If there is a problem then there will also be a link, in blue, to a site where you
can download and update a particular driver.

Yes, I mean opening up the computer and removing everything except what I mentioned.
If you're not comfortable doing this then it's probably not a good idea. Do you have
any "techie" friends that could help you with this?
To prevent the computer from automatically restarting when you get the error:
Go to System Properties (right-click on My Computer)
- Advanced
- Startup and Recovery - Settings
- Un-check Automatically restart.
Then you should be able to copy down (and post here) the exact information displayed
on the blue screen.
Repair install /
Clean install

I was doing a little reading on this site ( http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314464
) and it guided me into checking on some things. Here is what I've managed to find
out through "System Information" http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/3389/baddevices6qa.jpg
-the problem is, how do I enable, delete those drivers now?

You should be able to disable them from Device Manager via a right click on each
device and select Disable.
Repair install /
Clean install
