Hi guys and gals. I tried to install a web cam for my daughter. The same one I have. On mine (windows ME) it went straight in and on. On hers it keeps asking for BULK536.sys file(s). I have searched Microsoft for this but came up blank. Even with the drivers installed it still says "found new hard ware"!!! I used the install new hardware and camera-scanner wizard in control panel but it always says "found new hard ware". It shows in hard ware profiles that it is there but it will not work. Can anyone help me to help my pesky kid??

May the force be with you

Dear All,

sometimes the drivers you get are old and since you already have it for a while now, i assume that the drivers are old or only works for windows ME. could you give me the name of the web cam and the make and model ?

Best regards, Rami Wahdan.

Hi Rami. Thanks for the speedy response. The camera is an I.T works 3045. I find it a bit strange that it works on ME and not XP! XP has more drivers on it and why should it ask for BULK536.system files!!! When I put BULK536.sys into google all it points too is people putting their Hijack this log files on their forum and no mention of the BULK files??? All a bit odd!!! ............Paul.

May the force be with you

Dear All,

hi again, i cant find a driver for this one but if possible could you uninstall it and then take of the computer and then restart and then attach back again and then install the drivers for xp and see if this happenes again. also if you allow me, i want to email you a program that will take you online and tell you all connected componants and their relative drivers. so if you want just send me a private msg to my email and i will do it for you. i would rather do that here but they dont allow uploading.

Best regards, Rami Wahdan.
