Folder Option Not Available.

The reference to "Managing pairs of Web pages and folders" and the three radio button
entries at Windows Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> Advanced Settings,
in this thread
at Ars Technica Forums has caught my attention.
I'm using XP Pro SP2 and these entries aren't present in my installation either.
I find this somewhat disconcerting and wonder how common this omission is; has anyone
an explanation and possible remedy?

Did you try TweakUI as someone suggested on that thread?

The Tweak UI option only affects the action - whether the files are handled as a
pair or handled individually - but doesn't make the choice available in the View
pane.
However, my concern is why this choice is not available in my View pane, when it
appears in the View panes of others.

I have learned the "Managing pairs of Web pages and folders" entry only appears in
the View pane when Microsoft Office XP/2003 is installed, hence the absence of the
entry in my installation.
This option is not a standard component of Windows XP, but added by Microsoft
Office XP/2003 setup. Anyway, you can add this option using the REG file available
below.

You are making reference to another forum and they are talking about Office 2003.
Read this.

you can add this option using the REG file available below.
If you want to pursure this, try a new post and mention that you are trying to use
an Office 2003 extension with Windows XP.

I find your reply "strange" to say the least. What do you think you are informing
me of?
As I posted the link, I'm quite aware I'm making a reference to another site - why
else would I have given the link? This Ars Technica thread is NOT about Office 2003,
it is, after all, entitled "Managing pairs of Web pages and folders"! Office 2003
is not mentioned until the last post, which "coincidentally", is exactly the same
as my last post here.
Your quoting the exact quote I posted here, is information?
What makes you think I might be, to use your words, "trying to use an Office 2003
extension with Windows XP"? Do I not say in my second post, "However, my concern
is why this choice is not available in my View pane, when it appears in the View
panes of others."?
Having discovered the reason the choice is not available in my View pane - the reason
for my third post - I haven't any further interest in the matter.
