They'd sell about the same number of licenses. Most copies of XP in China (and many
other countries) are pirated. WPA didn't stop that.
On the other hand, the new law in China that requires that all new computers come
with an OS preinstalled means that we'll see millions of new Linux users. With OEM
versions of Linux you don't need to worry about hardware compatibility or hunt the
web for drivers. It won't be long before those computers will find their way to the
rest of the world.
