after installing hp photosmart printer, this icon showed up on the desktop. I
can't get rid of it. If I right click on it to delete it, I get the hourglass the
computer is hung up. How do I get rid of it?

i would try it in Safe Mode,keep tapping F8 at Bootup right after the BIOS-Screens.

or try MOVE ON BOOT

had some pretty good results with it.

P.S. Make sure the Program to which the File belongs to is not running and try
again the normal way to delete the File.

Uninstall HP share to web program. I just did it. It worked. Fortunately, I don't
use it anyway. Uninstalling did not affect the regular HP scanning program.
