Hello, I have spent hours looking to trouble shoot my hardware which has a yellow
mark, under other devices, the Ethernet controller and the Multimedia audio controller.
I have checked my ethernet adapter and its fine no yellow mark as well as my sound
card.
Question is how do i make these yellow mark go away, & how to pin point each to install
the driver.
Thank you, Jac

You need to go into Device Manager where you found the yellow exclamation points
and right click on the device and select properties. Choose to update or install
the driver(s).

Hello Shyrus, Thanks for the quick response, my problem is a have a bunch of drivers/cd's
and not knowing which one is which.Tried to uninstall the multi media audio, & the
ethernet controller reboot and pc again is detecting the hardware and asking for
these drivers. Unless I unhooked the whole bunch of connected wires @ the back of
the pc or open the box and take all the cards piece by piece. Pls.advise & thank
you. Jac

browse the cd, on most CD's there will be a driver folder and within that there will
be a folder for each OS. Usually when it comes to audio/multimedia drivers, when
you find one and install it, it grabs the rest of the audio drivers as well and installs
them. so you just have to find that one driver. When you go to device manager and
'update driver' just browse the CD and look for the driver(not by name, but by the
folder its in). If nothing else you can go to the manufacturer website and download
the driver as an exe file.

may i know the brand and model of your motherboard, network adapter (if your PC is
part of a local network), and sound card?
what driver CDs are you using? hope you can tell me the labels written, if there
are any..
sad to say, some companies provide ambiguous labels and folder names on their driver
CDs, making it hard for anybody to install drivers manually..
but getting to know from your CD stack is a good thing to start and try pinpointing
which CD and files to use..
