i had to replace the hard disk drive in my computer. now when i try to install XP, it started by freezing at 39 minutes. than would not install softweare at all. next it says it cannot recognize the disk i am trying to install. now it will not boot. its like the disk is distroying itself. just keeps getting worse. is this possible? whan is going on here. (R) does not work.

If you are able to do so, hookup your disk as a slave on another computer, format
it and run chkdsk. If you do not encounter any problems then XP will install.
