I had to copy files from my previous corrupted profile, and none of my Outlook Express settings or messages were transferred. Is there any way to retrieve these? Any help is appreciated

If you did not destroy the bad account, the data is still there. You can either find the stuff yourself or use a program or utility to find the stuff. One trick is to install a free or trail version of another e-mail program and have it find the settings from the ood account. Then have Outlook go find files from the rival e-mail program. Sounds goofy, but it works for me.

Thanks - any more help would be appreciated. My old profile is still intact. I've looked for dbx files but there is nothing there, just the address box, and some dll files.

I think that link doesn't deal with how to retrieve lost emails. I have been able to find dbx files under the old profile. Is it best to copy and import them into the new profile? I can't think of any other way to do this.
