'Resolving Hardware Conflicts'

Iam using Pentium 4 , 845S chipset, my ram is 128SDram and has a 256K cache, the
OS is Windows XP professional. Well I brought this system 4 years back. and for the
last 4 years, system keeps restarting .with out any prior notice. Due to this my
Os crashes frequently and again,my 128MB ram was damaged. Another thing which i wish
to bring it to ur notice is that, there is a slight leckage of current in the earth
about 6V . PLease help me.

Could be anything! If it's been going on for 4 years I would be suspicious of bad
RAM from day 1. Also 128Mb is hardly sufficient for smooth running of XP Pro (in
my opinion) Another possibility is a bad or undersized power supply - your comment
on 6v earth leakage worries me - what exactly do you mean and how did you measure
it?

first thing I'd do would be to replace the Powersupply.A leak of 6V to Ground is
a serious Matter.Safetywise and in relation to the Machine itself.Something like
that has to disturb the rather delicate Circuitry of the Computer. If it is not the
Powersupply, check the wiring where it goes along the Metalparts of the Box.I think
you will have to resolve that problem first.
