When my system boots, then there are some screens of data that scroll by so fast
that it seems IMpossible to press the "Pause" key to get to read them. Am specifically
interested in the screen surrounded by the double line border which contains info
about the CPU, speed, devices, memory, etc.
Would appreciate any hints as to how to be able to read them and ALSO on how to capture
the data into a text file, so that I don't have to write it down or photograph it.
Thanks,,

Hi Hugh,
There are numerous programs/utilities that will give you info about your computer.
1.System Info for Windows "SIW"
http://www.gtopala.com/
2.Belarc Adviser
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
3.PC Wizard 2006
http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php
and many more :)
If you want to know what drivers are loaded,
run msconfig and add bootlog to the boot.ini
(just tick the box)
the file resides in ..WINDOWS\ bootlog file name is c:\windows\ntbtlog.txt

That's a function of the BIOS. If you want to see what's in there, tap the Delete
key (usually) while first booting up. Look around, but don't change anything.
