I have Xp operating system have primary dos and Xp installed in the extended portion. I installed windows Xp first then I installed the driver from creative labs for the 56K modem, when it dials the phone number and connects to the internet it works ok, but if you lose your connection and it starts to attemt to redail you get the message error no dial tone over and over, but if you reboot the computer and dial it will work. Where do you look to fix this problem?

I would try drivers from creative labs website to get the latest ones. Completely uninstall your modem drivers, remove it from hardware profile, reboot and choose no or cancel to everything. Then run the drivers from Creative. Or follow their directions.
