IE7 Issues with Ctrl + Left Click Selection

I downloaded Internet Explorer 7 about a month ago and since that time I have been unable to select multiple items on a "list" of items within an IE7 window. When I press and hold the "CTRL" button and then "left click" my mouse (as I have always been able to do), instead of selecting multiple items, a new IE7 Window pops up and defaults to my home page. I know that it is not something screwy with my cpu as I am still able to perform multiple selections on other programs such as Excel. Is this a setting that I accidentally turned on that I am unaware of or has anyone else experienced this issue?

It's probably more of a keyboard combo issue, but most of us aren't using IE7, so
a newsgroup discussion would be a better place to get answers.

A lot of issues with IE7, I downloaded it used it for couple weeks and not good at all. Go to Add/Remove programs and Remove IE7 and you will find that IE6 is still there, that will solve the issue.
