Dan, what did you have to do to make the external USB drive bootable? Does your BIOS
support it directly or did you have to do some other things to make it work.

There are many types of Bios usb support like zip, hdd, fdd etc.
Absolute you need a pc with Bios (Usb-HardDrive) support.
You need tools like
cabsdk
isomaker
cdburning sotware
To install Xp on usb You have to modify some files:
* TXTSETUP.SIF
* DOSNET.INF
* USB.IN_
* USBPORT.IN_
* USBSTOR.IN_
Google is always your best friend with so many ideas.

Thanks Dan. I did some reading on this and found several good links on how to setup
a bootable USB flash drive or external hard drive. Also check and all 3 of my computers
support booting from a USB device so I think I'll play with this a bit, sounds like
fun.
