A quick to refresh/restar desktop without going through a complete system reboot

I recently found a simple way to refresh the Windows desktop.

1. Open the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete)
2. Click on the second tab (Processes)
3. Hit the "e" button to cycle through all processes beginning with "e" until explorer.exe
is highlighted, or simply scroll through the list to find it.
4. Click it and select "End Process Tree"
At this point, the taskbar and all files/icons on the desktop will disappear.
_

5. To restart explorer.exe, click "File" in the upper left hand corner of the task
manager, and select "New Task (Run Program).
6. In the small box that appears, enter "explorer.exe" and your desktop will be refreshed.

Hope this helps :]

Old news :-) Better would be to logoff then logon again though that would lose any unsaved work in process.
