I have a question about Enabling or Disabling Automatic Windows Update:

I find that when I disable automatic messaging, I get an annoying nag saying "Automatic messaging is off..." at boot time. Can I kill this?

I think you need to just turn off the security center so it is not in the System Tray. If you have Norton it will probably Nag you too. I don't know how to turn that off.

Click on the annoyning message. In the Windows Secutiry Center window that opens, click on "Change the way Security Center alerts me" on the left. Uncheck "Automatic Updates".
