Question about 'Customize Context Menus'

I have a question about Customize Context Menus:

Is there a way to add the Window's Quick Launch Toolbar and it's subfolders to context menus? Or to add a folder of applications that I could launch from context menus?

It's hard for me to understand the purpose of either one of those concepts. Double
clicking is so easy.

I suspect that the reason for your question is to be able to access your applications when the screen is full without needing to minimize your current work. If that is your desire, try this: Right click your taskbar>Toolbars>new toolbar. In that dialog box, first left click "Desktop" (at the top of the window list) and then in the lower left select "Make new folder." A new folder will appear on your desktop. Drag that folder to the margin of your screen(left/right/top) and drop it there. You now have a new toolbar. A right click on the toolbar header will give the options for "Always on top," and "Auto Hide." Any shortcuts placed into the toolbar folder will appear in the new toolbar. All context menu default activity for shortcuts is available inside the toolbar. Drag and drop to rearrange to your liking. Then bumping that screen margin with your cursor/pointer will cause the toolbar to pop out with your shortcuts-one click-just like Quick Launch. Available on all three margins.

You are correct, that is my intent, however I already use a Quicklaunch bar and an application called Truelaunch bar, which at present have pretty much used up my screen margins. And trying to control them is an annoyance in itself, because any time the mouse accidentally reaches the edges of the screen, which is quite frequent, they pop out uninvited. ---- What I really want is a right click context menu in which I can create a type of quicklaunch folder. I have another application that kind of does this, but instead of quicklaunching an application or a folder, it opens a window very much like the left side of an explorer window, with a tree view, and then I have to go through the process of selecting what I was after, all over again, from within it, which is definitely not a quicklaunch and defeats the purpose I had intended.

Not sure that your idea will work. Some applications control the context menu for their own purposes, and under those conditions your shortcuts would not be available. If you use Tweak Ui and have chosen to use the "Focus follows mouse" feature, you may find that your margin toolbars are less active if you reduce the sensitivity settings of your hover, and decrease the size of the affected area- helped me with the similar situation. PC magazine sells a "Contex Menu Plus" utility which has an editible section, but I cannot say for sure that it would answer.

Look at these, see if they are any help:

If you want to add or remove entries from the context menu you get when you right click on an object, let Google help you:
Add or remove entries from right click menu

Another excellent site is Ramesh's site

The last one has complete instructions for managing the context-menu entries for files, folders, drives and Namespace objects.

Is that Tweak UI setting under 'Mouse' | 'Hover' ? ------------------------------------------------------------

Already did a Google on this and have the same search saved in my Favorites, but was unable to find anything allowing me to ADD to my menus the feature I mentioned. I looked at Ramesh's site, and it's the same story. They all tell me how to remove unwanted entries, but not how to add anything like what I need. It's like the 'Select All' feature in the toolbar menus and not any in the right-click menus. What a time saver that would be.

Yes. Reduce size of affected area under hover, and also drop the sensitivity a bit.

Thanks DocCrain, that helps a little but does not eliminate the problem altogether. I still want to create those links in the Right-click context menu though, if anyone should discover a way. --------------------------------------------------------
