In my Norton yellow taskbar, it shows instead of a ck mark when I sign on, it shows something that keeps moving up and down in a blue dot for at least 3/4's of an hour (happening for over a month) and I cannot access anything because it is frozen. I foned Symantec and they said I was hacked, yet my scans et al shows all is ok. I would not pay Symantec to get it cleaned. What else can I do?

I would register at one of the Malware Removal Forums, and run a Malware Removal Routine.

You must be aware of malware cleaning programs by now?

Just follow all those steps then post on their forum, if you need further help. Once you've got this licked, switch to a more secure, less malware prone browser, such as Firefox or Opera. IE is a malware magnet.
