Setting Window position / offset of newly opened programs

Does anybody know of a good program for setting Window positions?

If you have a small screen, it's best to run everthing maximized and Alt-Tab between
programs.

For larger screens, often you have a browser going in one section of the screen,
with some other things (email, whatever) in another. If you open another browser
window, Windows opens it up at an offset to the first one, so your email program
is obscured by 50pixels and you have to take the time to re-position every program
you open.

There's a program called zMover (on Softpedia) that does something like this. It
either moves a window (specified by titlebar text) to a specified position upon your
command, or automatically. But I'd also like the ability to move/resize a program
after having it open in a specified position.

It would be sufficient if Windows just opened a given program in the same place everytime.

Does anyone know of any other programs along these lines? Does Ultramon do this?
